Columbian rookie Carlos Munoz continues turning hot laps at the Indianapolis Motor Speedway. For the second day in a row, he's been the fastest around the 2½ mile oval.
The 21-year old driver for Andretti Autosports turned a lap of 222.210mph Monday, slightly slower than Sunday's top speed of the day of 223.023mph.
Fan favorite Tony Kanaan was right behind Munoz, clocking a fast lap of 222.125. Munoz's teammate Marco Andretti posted today's third fastest lap at 221.656.
Simona de Silvestro was fourth fastest at 221.613 and Charlie Kimball was fourth at 221.549.
Practice continues until 6PM.
Temperatures are expected to warm up Tuesday and Wednesday and that could have an impact on track conditions and car speeds.
