PLAINFIELD -

The FBI has identified three people who allegedly robbed a Plainfield bank that ended with the fatal shooting of one of the suspects.

William McKnight, 43, of Indianapolis, was fatally wounded after showing a handgun to officers that had pursued the suspects.

Demetrius Worley, 24, and Lori A. Armstrong, 44, both of Indianapolis, were taken into custody in a Plainfield neighborhood. Both are in custody at the Hendricks County Jail.

Police believe the three suspects robbed the State Bank of Lizton at 2100 Stafford Road in Plainfield shortly before 11 p.m. Friday. The FBI Safe Streets Task Force was conducting surveillance on a suspicious vehicle that was later determined to be the suspects' getaway car.

Police and FBI investigators continue to investigate the robbery. McKnight's shooting is being reviewed by FBI Headquarters and a Shooting Incident Review Team, as per procedure.

Worley had just gotten out of prison on a bank robbery sentence in December 2012. He was convicted of a bank robbery in July 2009 and served three years of a six-year sentence.

A source very close to the investigation says the suspects were already under surveillance due to intelligence obtained by investigators.
