Judge to decide whether to revoke lawyer's bond

INDIANAPOLIS -

Attorneys on both sides of a case involving a prominent Indianapolis lawyer charged in a $4.5 million fraud are waiting for a federal judge to decide whether his bond should be revoked.

The case against William F. Conour is being prosecuted by a deputy U.S. attorney from the court district based in Urbana, Ill., but Conour's public defender says legal proceedings are being conducted in Indianapolis.

Michael Donahoe of the U.S. public defender's office says federal prosecutor Eugene Miller was appointed to handle the case about a month ago, about the same time a judge ordered an inventory of Conour's assets. The FBI was unable to locate many of Conour's listed assets, including art and wine.

Conour was charged with misusing clients' funds. His trial is Sept. 9.
