DAYTON, OH -

Victor Oladipo hit a key 3-pointer with 13 seconds remaining and Indiana, minutes away from being the second No. 1 seed to be swept from the NCAA tournament, held off Temple 58-52 on Sunday in the East Regional.

The Hoosiers (29-6) trailed by four with 2:56 left, but closed with a big run to advance to the round of 16 for the second straight year.

Indiana will play No. 4 seed Syracuse in the regional semifinals on Thursday in Washington.
Temple's Khalif Wyatt scored 31 points to lead the Owls (24-10), who gave one of the Big Ten's big boys all they could handle before collapsing when it mattered most.

Oladipo, who spent the afternoon trying to slow down Wyatt, scored 16 and Cody Zeller added 15 for the Hoosiers.

From WTHR Sports Director Dave Calabro:

I've covered sports for a living for about 28 years so I don't normally get too hyped up. The IU Hoosiers got my blood going! The Hoosiers went on a 10-0 run and held Temple scoreless for the final 3 minutes. Victor Oladipo continues to show why he is special. Victor hit 3-pointer with 20 seconds left to seal the win.

Christian Watford Came up with a big block in the closing minutes.

The players were calm in the locker room afterwards! The guys have been through so much in the Big Ten season, they know how to handle the pressure. It's starting to feel like this is a team of destiny! They play Syracuse in the Sweet 16 on Thursday. We are headed to Washington DC to give you coverage this week!

See you on the road!
