Cody Zeller scored 11 points for Indiana.
Yogi Ferrell led Indiana with 16 points, 8 rebounds and 6 assists.Yogi Ferrell had a perfect first half and Indiana never looked back in a second round rout of James Madison at the NCAA Tournament.
Ferrell had 14 points on 6-of-6 shooting in the first half, including two three-pointers, as the Hoosiers rolled to an 83-62 win. Ferrell finished with 16 points to lead Indiana and his eight rebounds and six assists were also team highs for the game.
"I felt like it gave me great confidence. When I went on a little run, Jordan (Hulls) just said, you know, pick my spots, try not to force anything. So I kind of took that and just took what the defense gave me," Ferrell said.
"He was never a freshman, even from the first day when he waltzed onto this campus. He's never played like one. His experience in the Big Ten, now through his first NCAA college game, it just goes to show how much he's grown throughout the year," Oladipo said.
Dave Calabro's thoughts on IU win
Will Sheehey had 15 points for Indiana, while Cody Zeller and Victor Oladipo scored 11 points each.
"We think we're going to win every game and we go in and we're confident," Sheehey said.
Freshman Andre Nation led James Madison with 24 points.
Indiana advances to play Temple Sunday in Dayton. The Owls defeated N.C. State 76-72 earlier Friday.
Sunday's game will tip off 30 minutes after the Ohio State-Iowa State game ends in Dayton.
