Steven Tyler Act stalled in Hawaii

Posted: Updated:
HONOLULU -

The Steven Tyler Act that's working its way through the Hawaii legislature seems to have hit a snag.

The bill would allow celebrities to sue those who take photos or videos of their private moments. Tyler himself requested the law and gave testimony in February.

It passed the Hawaii Senate, but it is missing deadlines in the state House. Representative Angus McKelvey, who chairs one of three committees the bill would have to pass, says he will not hold a hearing on the bill. He says, "To say there is absolutely zero support would be an understatement."
