Bobby Brown in and out of jail

Posted: Updated:
LOS ANGELES -

Bobby Brown has served all of eight hours of a 55-day sentence before being released.

A Los Angeles sheriff's spokesman says Brown is out because of jail overcrowding and good behavior. Brown has been outfitted with an ankle monitor and is at home.

He pleaded no contest to DUI and driving on a suspended license. He turned himself in on Wednesday.

Brown will still have to serve four years of informal probation and complete an 18-month alcohol treatment program.
