Lawrence Township schools went into lockdown mode Thursday as police searched for a suspicious person. The lockdown was lifted as of 11:00 am.
Lawrence Police tell Eyewitness News they did not request a school lockdown, and they're not sure why the schools went into lockdown.
Lawrence Township Schools say the following schools were placed on lockdown:
Brook Park Elementary
Brook Park Early Learning Center
Harrison Hill
Belzer Middle School
Lawrence Central
The Lawrence Township school resource officer and a police officer are getting the communication issued resolved.
