INDIANAPOLIS -

Brownsburg's Stephanie Mavunga is the IndyStar's Miss Basketball.

Mavunga received 79 votes from media members and coaches across the state. Hamilton Southeastern's Taya Reimer was second in the closest voting since 1999.

Both are McDonald's All-Americans, and Reimer received McDonald's Morgan Wooten Award as the top female player in America.

But the 6-foot-4 Mavunga was the Gatorade/ESPN Indiana Player of the Year. She averaged 23.2 points, 12.7 rebounds and 3.8 blocks this season, leading the Bulldogs to their first sectional title since 2001.
