INDIANAPOLIS -
Metro police chased a speeding car when it failed to stop early Wednesday morning, and arrested the driver who was wanted on a federal warrant.
The chase began near the 4600 block of Kessler Blvd. on the west side around 2:30 a.m. Police say the maroon car was clocked going 74 MPH in a 40 MPH zone.
When the officer tried to stop the car, it fled, winding up westbound on 52nd Street. In the 3100 block, 52nd dead ends.
The driver jumped out and surrendered to police shortly after.
The 36-year-old man was wanted on a federal narcotics warrant, and taken into custody.
