Indy Chamber, World Trade Club form partnership

INDIANAPOLIS -

The Greater Indianapolis Chamber of Commerce and the World Trade Club of Indiana are forming a partnership aimed at expanding the region's international presence.

Indianapolis Chamber CEO Scott Miller says the partnership will help focus resources on helping companies develop opportunities in the international marketplace while positioning central Indiana as a desirable place for international companies to move to or expand in.

The World Trade Club is an independent, nonprofit organization founded to promote world trade and provide networking and education for those involved in international trade. Officials say the partnership supports both the chamber's and the club's focus on professional education by providing members with firsthand knowledge and resources.

The chamber says about 131,000 Indiana residents are employed by international companies.
