INDIANAPOLIS -

Detectives with the Indianapolis Metro Police Department want to identify a suspect wanted in connection to at least one robbery and one attempted robbery of CVS Pharmacies over the past few months.

In both cases, the suspect demanded certain narcotics.

One of the robberies took place on Feb. 21, 2013, at around 8:20 pm at the CVS in the 2000 block of West Washington Street. The suspect was described as a black male in his early twenties, 5 feet 3 inches to 5 feet 5 inches tall, weighing approximately 150 pounds, light complexion, wearing a black hoodie with the hood up, a black beanie, blue jeans, and brown boots.

The suspect passed a note saying, "This a robbery, I have a gun." The note also listed specific narcotic drugs to place in a bag the suspect was carrying.

The clerk complied with the suspect's demands and placed several narcotics into the bag. After placing the narcotics into the bag, the suspect then ran out of the store. No injuries were reported and no gun was ever seen.

Then on March 2, 2013, at around 8:00 pm, officers were called to the CVS in the 5600 block of Georgetown Rd. In the second case, the suspect entered the store and handed the clerk a note saying he was robbing the businesses and that he was armed.

As the clerk turned away to look for the drugs the suspect demanded, the suspect unexpectedly fled the scene without any drugs. No injuries were reported, and no gun was ever seen.

The suspect in the second robbery is described as: a black male, thought to be in his early twenties, 5 feet 7 inches to 5 feet 9 inches, weighing approximately 120 – 150 pounds, light complexion, and a small goatee.

Anyone with information on the identity or whereabouts of the suspected is urged to call IMPD at 317.327.3733 or Crime Stoppers at 317.262.8477 (TIPS).  Callers can also text "INDYCS" plus tip information to 274627 (CRIMES).
