INDIANAPOLIS -

Police have captured a man serving time for his role in the Hovey Street murders in 2008.

IMPD officers, working with the U.S. Marshals Service, arrested Tommy Warren in the 800 block of Riley Avenue Monday afternoon. Warren was wanted by police after he filed to report to a work release program after receiving a medical pass.

Warren was serving a 10-year sentence for his part in a botched home robbery that left two women and their young children dead more than five years ago. He is one of five men charged in connection with the slayings of 24-year-olds Andrea Yarrell and Gina Hunt and their children, 5-month-old Charlii Daye-Yarrell and 23-month-old Jordan Hunt, who were killed during the robbery in a home on Hovey Street.

Detectives say Warren tried to hide in the attic of a residence, but was located and apprehended in a bedroom of the home. He was taken into custody without incident.

Two other people, Antonio Berry and Ashley Brown, both 26, were also taken into custody. Police say Berry was arrested on an unrelated narcotics warrant and Brown, who is believed to be Warren's girlfriend, was uncooperative with officers and was believed to be in possession of marijuana.
