Time running out for unclaimed IRS refunds - 13 WTHR Indianapolis

You could have some extra money and not even know it.

The IRS says it has nearly one billion dollars in unclaimed funds, and time is running out to claim it.

You have three years to claim a refund before the money is turned over to the treasury department.

That means you have to file your federal tax returns from 2009 before April 15th or you will lose that money.
