The DePauw women's basketball team is one win away from another national championship.
The Tigers moved to 33-0 on the season with a 59-56 win over Williams in the Division III semifinal. The 33 wins ties the Division III record for most wins in a season.
Ellie Pearson led DePauw with 15 points and nine rebounds. Savannah Trees added 14 points and Ali Ross 13 for the Tigers.
DePauw trailed much of the first half, falling behind by as many as eight points. They trailed the Ephs by one at halftime, 28-27.
The score remained close to start the second half, until sophomore Emma Ondik's only points of the game, a three-pointer with 11:30 remaining gave the Tigers a lead they would not relinquish.
DePauw will face Wisconsin-Whitewater, who beat Amherst in the other semifinal. Tip-off for the championship game is 7 p.m. Saturday.
The Tigers also won the Division III national championship in 2007. They are making their 10th straight appearance in the NCAA Tournament.
