Snoop Lion: still the same

Posted: Updated:
LOS ANGELES -

He's gone from Snoop Doggy Dogg, to Snoop Dogg - now to Snoop Lion. But the rapper turned Rasta says no matter the name, he'll always be Snoop.

He says when it comes to his Snoop Dogg persona, he "can't throw that person away and get rid of him."

He says the recent name change and move to Rastafarianism is part of his personal growth and "the next phase" of his musical career and life. He says now that he's older, he wants to move away from the party hardy style and address "some real issues."
