INDIANAPOLIS -

Two people are under arrest in connection with a March 13th murder outside Lafayette Square Mall.

Robert Mitcham was shot while sitting in an SUV outside the mall in the afternoon of March 13th. The victim's cousin drove him to the nearby DJ Beauty Supply parking lot at 4235 Lafayette Rd. Mitcham was pronounced dead there.

This week, police arrested Maron Jackson, 24, at a home in the 8400 block of Stones Ferry Road. US Marshals and the IMPD Violent Crimes Unit worked together on the investigation.

Dominique Hughes, 19, was also arrested and charged with Assisting a Criminal (C felony) and Vehicle Theft.

Both Hughes and Jackson are being held at the Marion County Jail. More charges could follow.

On the afternoon of the shooting, customers inside the beauty salon say they did not hear any gunshots, but told police that the man who drove the SUV came into the store acting very suspicious.

"He was coming in the store. He was walking in the door, he hesitated, had his cell phone, he turned back around and went all the way out and went to that truck," said Dorothy Harper. "So something was going on to stop him from entering in. He stopped at the door, because we don't know what could have happened inside that store where we were."
