Sammy Hagar: no deal on Atlantic City beach bar

Posted: Updated:
ATLANTIC CITY -

Sammy Hagar says he wanted to - but he won't be back to help rebuild a beach bar damaged by Superstorm Sandy.

The rock star says on his Web site he couldn't come to terms with Caesars Entertainment on a deal to run the bar this summer.

The casino firm owns a bar that had been known as Sammy's Beach Bar for the past three years. A spokeswoman says the beef with Hagar was purely financial - and that the bar will be repaired and opened in May under a new name.
