ZIONSVILLE -

Police are searching for two suspects in a reported bank robbery in Zionsville Monday.

Zionsville police officers are searching the area of 116th Street and Michigan Road for the male suspects in a robbery at a nearby Key Bank branch. Police with K-9 officers set up a perimeter in the area, schools and day care centers in the area were on lockdown through the noon hour, but have since been reopened.

Police say the suspects showed weapons during the robbery, but there were no injuries reported. The dye pack included with the stolen money went off. The suspects are believed to be on foot, though a stolen gray Ford Taurus was recovered a short distance away.

Police describe the suspects as two black males, standing about six-feet tall and weighing 180-195 pounds. They were wearing black hoodies, black ski masks and black bandanas.

Carmel police and the Boone County Sheriff's Department are also involved in the search.

Anyone with information is asked to contact Zionsville Police.
