MEDIA, PENNSYLVANIA -

The legal hits just keep coming for Beanie Sigel.

The rapper who is both a veteran performer and a veteran guest at various prisons has another stay behind bars to deal with. He has been sentenced to between six and 23 months in prison after pleading guilty to a narcotics possession charge.

Sigel pleaded out to a misdemeanor count of illegal possession of Percocet, a painkiller. The Delaware County Daily Times reports Sigel has been behind bars since his August 29 arrest.

He was busted at a traffic stop just hours after the release of his latest solo album. It isn't the only legal issue facing Sigel. He also is up against a two-year federal sentence for tax evasion. Federal prosecutors said he owed more than $700,000 for the tax years 1999 through 2005.
