RED BANK, N.J., March 4, 2013 /PRNewswire/ -- As part of its ongoing support of New Jersey's educational community, Plymouth Rock Assurance - Teachers' Insurance Plan of NJ has donated $8,000 to the Brick Township School District toward education-related grants. The educators responsible for the 10 winning grant proposals were honored at the District's Board of Education Meeting on February 21.
The winning projects were "Carnival of Kindness" submitted by Brett Novick of Osbornville Elementary School, "Connect, Collaborate, Celebrate!" submitted by Nancy Evans of Drum Point Road School and Osbornville Elementary School, "Creepy, Crawly Creature Club" submitted by Sara Ball and Cherylan Shea of Herbertsville Elementary School, "Engineering is Elementary" submitted by Jaime Pratt and Jeanette Wehner of Emma Havens Young Elementary School, "Explore the Shore, 'Light' the Way!" submitted by Erin Sugrue and Deborah Osborn of Herbertsville Elementary School, "The Impact of Environmental Conditions & Changes on Plant Growth" submitted by Corrine Glowacki of Veterans Memorial Middle School, "Math Labs in Action" submitted by Valerie Abramo of Veterans Memorial Middle School, "Mentoring to Success" submitted by LeeAnn Ehehalt and Monique Sheridan of Emma Havens Young Elementary School, "Science Night Out" submitted by Maria DeBruin of Brick Memorial High School, and "Trout in the Classroom" submitted by Ben Schaible of Brick Memorial High School.
