Bobby Brown sentenced in DUI case

Posted: Updated:
LOS ANGELES -

Bobby Brown will do time for what he's accused of doing behind the wheel.

The singer has been sentenced to 55 days in jail and four years probation in a drunken driving case.

The Los Angeles City Attorney's office says Brown was sentenced yesterday after pleading no contest to charges he was under the influence and driving on a suspended license when he was arrested in October of last year.

At the time, Brown was on probation for another DUI case. Brown is 44 and is to report to jail March 20.

As part of his sentence, he will be required to finish an 18-month alcohol treatment program.
