An Indianapolis man was arrested Saturday for his role in a fatal accident on the north side two weeks ago.
Indianapolis Metropolitan Police Department homicide detectives arrested 41-year-old Seantel Marsden for murder, battery, criminal recklessness, and leaving the scene of an accident.
The suspect is believed to be the driver of a white Ford pick-up truck that deliberately caused an accident that resulted in the death of 29-year-old Rashshadd Artis of Indianapolis on February 9, 2013. The victim was a passenger in the vehicle that was operated by 31-year-old Shanntel Lewis, the ex-girlfriend of the suspect, which was deliberately struck from behind by the suspect causing the vehicle to veer into oncoming traffic resulting in a head-on collision with another vehicle.
Detectives reviewed the case with the Marion County Prosecutor's Office on Friday and were granted an arrest warrant charging the suspect.
The suspect was taken into custody at his home without incident.
Seantel was taken to the Adult Arrestee Processing Center to be processed and currently has no bond.
