A pedestrian was killed after being struck by a vehicle in Lawrence early Sunday morning.
The accident happened just before 1 a.m. in the 9300 block of East 46th Street, three blocks east of Post Road.
According to Lawrence Police Capt. Kathy Trout, the person was walking in the middle of 46th Street when they were struck.
The driver said she did not see the pedestrian. Police say there was no indication that alcohol was involved.
The name of the victim is not being released pending notification of family.
