Adele, Seth MacFarlane up for best song Oscar

Posted: Updated:
LOS ANGELES -

Will Adele be the juggernaut at the Oscars that she has been in the rest of the music business?

The theme song from "Skyfall" is nominated for the best song Oscar, and because she co-wrote it, she's eligible to win an Oscar. Her competition includes Oscar host Seth MacFarlane, who wrote "Everybody Needs A Best Friend" from "Ted."

The other nominees are "Before My Time" from the documentary "Chasing Ice," ''Pi's Lullaby" from "Life of Pi," and "Suddenly" from "Les Miserables." The Oscars are Sunday.
