Metallica deny asking military to stop playing their songs

Posted: Updated:

Metallica are denying they told the U.S. military not to use their music to soften up interrogation subjects.

The Navy Seal who shot Osama bin Laden -- who is only identified as The Shooter -- tells Esquire the military used Metallica music in interrogations until Metallica caught wind of it.

The Shooter says Metallica asked the military to stop because they did not want to promote violence. Metallica say on their website they have never commented to the military either way.
