    Governor Mike Pence Sunday directed flags at state facilities in Marion County to be flown at half-staff to honor Indianapolis EMS Private Timothy C. McCormick.
INDIANAPOLIS -

Mayor Ballard extends his request to lower flags at all City-County facilities to half-staff to honor IEMS Private McCormick to also be done so to honor IEMS Specialist Medley, and asks that businesses and residents lower flags to half-staff as well.

Statement from Indianapolis Mayor Greg Ballard: "Our community is mourning the loss of Indianapolis EMS Specialist Cody Medley, who passed away due to severe injuries sustained in the major motor vehicle crash that also killed his EMT partner, IEMS Private Timothy McCormick. These first responders were devoted to helping others and risked their own lives to do so every day on the job. We stand by our IEMS family to give them strength in this time of grief." 

Flags are to remain at half-staff until sunset of the day of internment of both fallen medics.
