Halestorm like the old-school sound

Posted: Updated:
LOS ANGELES -

Halestorm singer Lzzy Hale says the band was influenced by her parents' music collection and they listened to anything with a color. By that she means Black Sabbath, Blue Oyster Cult, Pink Floyd, Deep Purple and so on.

Hale says people think of metal bands as just loud and screaming but Halestorm has a more classic rock sound. Hale recently remade the classic Ozzy Osbourne/Lita Ford duet "Close My Eyes Forever" with David Draiman of Disturbed.

She says they talked about that for years and finally did it. It will appear on the upcoming album from Device, Draiman's side project.
