Elwood residents will be dealing with water problems Thursday morning as city crews work to repair a major water main break.
City officials tell Eyewitness News the water main break is located at 16th and Main Street in downtown Elwood. Crews are trying to make repairs as quickly as possible.
Residents in Elwood are now being asked to boil their water before drinking or cooking.
Main Street (or State Road 28) will be closed between Anderson Street and 15th Street until those repairs are completed.
After starting with a two hour delay for Elwood schools, the school superintendent is now saying that those schools will be closed today, due to the lengthy repairs on that water main.
