LL Cool J prepares new music

Posted: Updated:
LOS ANGELES -

LL Cool J says he's not trying to compete with 17-year-olds on the radio with his new music.

However, he says he is talking directly to those who came up with him. He says, "We may not be teenagers anymore, but we do still like to have fun."

LL will release a new album called "Authentic" on April 30.

The first single is called "Whaddup" and is available now on iTunes. It's the song he did to close the Grammys.
