LOS ANGELES -

The guy who jumped on stage as Adele accepted her Grammy on Sunday may look familiar to Will Smith.

It's the same Ukrainian journalist who tried to kiss Smith during a movie premiere in Moscow last year and Smith slapped him. Vitalii Sediuk says he snuck into the Grammys behind Katy Perry and no one asked him for a ticket.

He believes he sat in Adam Levine's seat.

Sediuk says he spontaneously decided to go on stage with Adele, but Jennifer Lopez pulled him away. Sediuk was arrested and spent the night in jail.

He has a court date next month to face a trespassing charge. Now he's appealing to Adele. In his words, "Oh Adele. Help me not to go to jail."
