INDIANAPOLIS -

A man wanted in connection with a fatal weekend crash has turned himself in to Indianapolis Metro Police.

Seantel Marsden has turned himself in and is currently being interviewed by detectives at IMPD headquarters.

IMPD officers were searching for Marsden in connection with a fatal, head-on crash. Marsden is suspected of ramming his former girlfriend's SUV before it crashed.

Police say the crash early Saturday on 82nd Street near the Castleton Square shopping mall killed 29-year-old Rashshaad Artis of Indianapolis. He was riding in the SUV driven by 33-year-old Shanntel Lewis of Indianapolis when it crossed a median and crashed into a silver pickup truck.

Lewis told police her ex-boyfriend, 41-year-old Seantel Mardsen of Indianapolis, rammed her SUV from behind with his pickup several times before the crash.

Witnesses tell police the two vehicles were traveling at a high rate of speed, cutting each other off and running several red lights as they drove westbound from Interstate 69 on 82nd Street.

An IMPD patrol car located Mardsen's white 2001 Ford F350 Dually pickup parked in a bank branch lot at 38th and Washington Blvd. late Sunday night.  He was not with the truck, police said.

Detectives are still gathering evidence and information about the crash and are not calling their investigation a homicide.

Police say Lewis and a passenger in the third vehicle, 40-year-old Tara Bain of Indianapolis, also suffered injuries.  Bain, who told first responders she is pregnant, was a passenger in the silver pickup that was struck by Lewis' SUV.
