North Kitsap Herald, trusted source of local news, has stepped in to help with the Anderson Parkway Project.

Poulsbo, WA (PRWEB) February 08, 2013

North Kitsap focused on local news and events, the North Kitsap Herald has committed itself to providing "the best coverage" on the recently started Anderson Parkway Project. Working in conjunction with the City of Poulsbo, the Historic Downtown Poulsbo Association, and The RockFish Group, (the p.r. firm handling the project), the has dedicated itself to being the go-to source of up-to-date information on this project.

The project, which is in its pre-construction phase, involves the implementation of a new stormwater system, Filterra units, and bio-retention cells. These improvements, along with landscaping, installation of new lights, and repaving, will reduce runoff from Anderson Parkway into Liberty Bay. In order for the project to be completed it will require a 7 day period where the parkway will be closed to the public.

To help keep the public informed of the progress of Anderson Parkway the Herald will be publishing a weekly editorial, along with photos, and a parking map in each Friday's edition. The North Kitsap Herald will also publicize and promote the Historic Downtown Poulsbo Association's February Photo Contest which asks residents and tourists alike to share their images of the downtown corridor. The online version of the Herald will provide a link directly to the newly unveiled Historic Downtown Poulsbo Association's website where further information on the photo contest will be housed.

The North Kitsap Herald is pleased to partner with the downtown businesses during construction of the parkway and each week they will publish a list of merchants in downtown Poulsbo along with a section entitled, "What is Happening in Downtown Poulsbo".
