INDIANAPOLIS -

A person driving a vehicle that was allegedly stolen led police on a chase that ended with a crash Thursday.

Police say a caller told a dispatcher they were behind their stolen truck at E. 42nd Street and Emerson Avenue. An officer located the vehicle near E. 34th Street and Emerson Avenue and attempted a traffic stop. The truck accelerated and drove off.

About five blocks later, a passenger jumped from the truck, landing on his face, near E. 35th Street and N. Dequincy Street. The truck then collided with a car that was eastbound on E. 34th Street and overturned.

The driver was taken, in custody, to Wishard Hospital. The passenger who jumped from the truck was also taken to the hospital for cuts to his face and forehead.

A passenger in the car which was struck by the truck is pregnant and complained of pain. She was transported to a hospital to be checked out.
