INDIANAPOLIS -
Indianapolis Metro Police are investigating a person found dead in the 3900 block of Eastern Ave. in Indianapolis. That's in the area of Keystone and 38th St.
It happened at 39th and Eastern Ave. The victim was found dead at the scene after police were called to the neighborhood to investigate a report of a shooting.
The victim was identified as 19-year-old Mitchell Lane of Indianapolis.
Homicide detectives are searching for a white four-door Chrysler 300 with tinted windows and a paper license plate located in the rear window on the driver's side of the car.
Anyone with information about this incident is asked to call IMPD Homicide Detectives at 317.327.3475 or anonymously to Crime Stoppers at 317.262.TIPS (8477). Callers can also text "INDYCS" plus tip information to 274627.
