INDIANAPOLIS -
An Indianapolis father is heading to prison for ten years for nearly killing his nine-month-old son.
Johnny Bishop was sentenced to ten years in prison Tuesday morning with two years of work release.
He was arrested in July after police officers found him performing CPR on his son in a van on the south side.
The baby was brought to Riley Hospital in critical condition with massive head trauma.
The child is now recovering and is in his mother's custody.
