INDIANAPOLIS -

Metro Police arrested a man believed to be responsible for robbing the Denny's restaurant at 3517 S. Keystone early Tuesday morning.

Police say the suspect came into the restaurant asking for change, then forced a female employee to the floor and left with the cash drawer.

When police stopped a blue van near Tabor and State around 3:20 a.m., the driver ran away, and was later caught near State and Comer, south of the scene of the traffic stop.

Police say the man who ran from the van matched the description of the person who robbed the Denny's.  He was taken by ambulance to Wishard Hospital for undisclosed injuries.

The van was reported as stolen.
