Services planned in South Bend, Fort Wayne for Bishop D'Arcy

SOUTH BEND -

Services honoring Bishop Emeritus John D'Arcy will be held this week in South Bend and Fort Wayne so people can pay their respects to the man who led the Diocese of Fort Wayne-South Bend for 24 years.

A reception of the body and morning prayer will be held 10 a.m. Wednesday at St. Matthew Cathedral in South Bend, followed by visitation throughout the day. Rosary will begin at 5 p.m. Bishop Kevin Rhoades will celebrate Mass at 7 p.m. The same schedule will be held Thursday at the Cathedral of the Immaculate Conception in Fort Wayne.

On Friday visitation will be from 9 a.m. to 11:30 a.m. in the Cathedral of the Immaculate Conception. The funeral Mass will be at noon, followed by a reception at the Grand Wayne Center.
