INDIANAPOLIS -
A head-on crash sent both drivers to hospitals shortly before 2:00 a.m. and closed Guion Road in the 5400 block.
Police on the scene believe a white pickup truck was southbound and struck a northbound passenger car. It is not clear whether either vehicle crossed the center line.
The women driving the car was trapped and required rescue. She was taken to IU Health Methodist Hospital with undisclosed injuries.
The man driving the truck was combative with officers at the scene, and taken in handcuffs to Wishard Hospital.
The Fatal Alcohol Crash Team was called to investigate the scene after the driver of the truck refused to take a field sobriety test, according to police.
Guion remained closed until approximately 6:00 a.m., after the FACT team's investigation was complete.
