INDIANAPOLIS -

IMPD confirms that ten-year-old Tatyana Staten was located Sunday morning outside a Kroger at the Devonian Plaza at the intersection of 46th and Arlington Avenue around 10 a.m.

According to police she was found by a neighbor and told the neighbor that she had been staying in a grassy area near the Kroger.

Tatyana is at Community Hospital East being treated for a slight case of hypothermia.

She was wearing the same clothes that she was wearing on Friday night.  Police are investigating to determine her movements and where she was staying since she disappeared on Friday afternoon.

Previous story

An Urban search was conducted late Saturday night at Gardner Park on East 46th street for missing 10-year-old Tatyana Staten.

Search teams broke down into groups of three. They were not working off any new leads. They wanted to conduct a final search before the end of the night.

Detectives encourage the public to check vehicles, outbuildings, vacant houses, businesses, and other structures that could be used to keep the body warm.  Detectives are extremely concerned about the well-being of Tatyana, with the current temperature and the continued cold temperature forecast for later tonight.

Anyone seeing Tatyana is urged to call 9-1-1 immediately to have an officer investigate.

Detectives with IMPD's Missing Persons department say Staten was last seen around 1:45 p.m. Friday in the 4300 block of N. Elizabeth Street, which is near E. 42nd Street and N. Shadeland Avenue.

Police believe the girl ran away from her residence after being suspended from school earlier Friday. Detectives are concerned for the girl because of the extreme temperatures.

Staten's mother had called 911 after the girl left home and could not be located.

Staten is described as a black female, standing 4'5", weighing about 60 pounds, with brown braids. She was last seen wearing a black jacket with pink lining and black shoes.

Police say citizens should call 911 to have an officer investigate if they've seen the girl.
