An Indiana man has agreed to plead guilty to "sextortion" charges.

Documents filed Wednesday in federal court show Richard Finkbiner signed a plea agreement in which he would be sentenced to between 30 and 50 years in prison on charges including child exploitation, extortion and possessing child pornography.

Finkbiner is accused of tricking about a dozen teenagers in several states into stripping or performing sex acts on webcam that he recorded and used to coerce them into making more sexually explicit videos.

U.S. Attorney Joe Hogsett previously said prosecutors intended to seek an effective life sentence if the Brazil man is convicted.

Prosecutors say the case is an example of "sextortion," in which Internet predators catch victims in embarrassing situations online and threaten to expose them unless they create sexually explicit photos or videos.

At the heart of the investigation was an online chat site known as Omegle.com. Anyone can use it to exchange texts and video, and police say that's where Finkbiner met many of the victims.
