MDconnectME’s secure APP provides instantaneous surgical email/text updates to patient-families despite distance or device platform.
Philadelphia (PRWEB) January 30, 2013
MDconnectME, a leading digital health solution for provider-patient-family communication announces initiation of a pilot program with the Department of Plastic Reconstructive Surgery at The University of Texas MD Anderson Cancer Center.
MDconnectME, is a secure (HIPAA/HITECH compliant) mobile web platform, which allows the surgical team to send comforting updates from any web-enabled device to a list of patient-selected contacts (such as family members and close friends). These contacts receive the updates by email or text (for example, with an iPhone, android, or even a desktop) and can be in the waiting room or halfway around the world – yet now connected within an instant.
Since late 2011, MDconnectME has compiled survey results (from patients, family members, and health professionals), suggesting the service to be a welcome enhancement to the surgical patient-family experience.
“Our research shows that by allowing patients to partner in their own care, this alleviates workflow for the surgical team, cutting stress and improving the experience for all who matter, especially when it matters most" comments Scott Anzel, MDconnectME, CEO.
