INDIANAPOLIS -

Police working on a phone tip arrested a man suspected of a bank robbery in Greenwood Monday.

An anonymous tipster identified 28-year-old Justin Earl Ray of Lynn, Indiana and said the suspect was staying at a friend's residence in Indianapolis. The caller told police Ray was seen with money that appeared to be stained with dye from the robbery at the BMO Harris Bank branch in Greenwood on Monday.

Police officers spoke with the homeowner at the residence where Ray was believed to be staying and received permission to enter the home. They located and apprehended the suspect in an upstairs closet.

Ray was found with the dye-stained money believed to be taken in the robbery.

He was arrested on charges of armed robbery, criminal confinement - both felonies - and a misdemeanor charge of pointing a firearm.
