Plea deal expected from Randy Travis

Posted: Updated:
SHERMAN, TEXAS -

Randy Travis is expected to enter a guilty plea in the drunk driving case in which authorities say he was naked and combative at the scene.

Details of the plea agreement will be released following Travis' court appearance Thursday in Sherman, Texas. Travis faces a misdemeanor charge that is punishable by up to two years in jail and a $4,000 fine.

Authorities have said a Trans Am registered to Travis veered off a roadway and struck several barricades in a construction zone on August 7.

Investigators say Travis' blood-alcohol level was nearly twice the legal limit. His lawyers have said Travis has stopped drinking.
