GREENWOOD -

Police in Greenwood released photos they hope leads to the arrest of a bank robbery suspect.

Investigators say a white male in his mid-20s or early 30s robbed the BMO Harris Bank on Meridian Oaks Drive in Greenwood around 4 p.m. Monday.

The man, who was wearing all black, pushed his way past a waiting customer and pulled out a large black handgun. He pointed the gun at the teller and demanded the money the teller was holding, plus the money in the cash drawer.

The suspect stuffed an undisclosed amount of money into the front pockets of his hooded sweatshirt and fled the bank. Witnesses say the man was last seen running northbound from the bank.

Anyone with information on this crime is encouraged to contact the Greenwood Police Department at (317) 881-2518 or the anonymous tip line at (317) 865-0300.
