Captain D's in Anderson destroyed in fire

Captain D's restaurant in Anderson was destroyed in a fire Monday.

The Anderson Fire Department was called to the scene just before 8:00 am after a passing motorist reported it. Heavy smoke was pouring from the restaurant in the 2700 block of North Broadway when firefighters arrived.

The fire was marked under control at 10:30 am, although fire crews were still on the scene at 11:30 am.

No injuries were reported.
