BLOOMFIELD -

A Bloomfield man was arrested for making meth in a home with a half-dozen children Thursday.

State police troopers witnessed 31-year-old Justin Anthony manufacturing methamphetamine in a house on at 8630 East SR 54 in Bloomfield Thursday evening. A search of the residence located the chemicals and equipment used to manufacture methamphetamine.

Six children, between the ages of two and 14 were also located in the residence when troopers arrived. Child Protective Services was contacted to ensure the safety of those children.

Anthony was arrested on charges of manufacturing methamphetamine, possession of precursors with intent to manufacture and taking a child or endangered adult to a nuisance. All of those charges are felonies.

Police say the ongoing investigation could lead to more arrests. Anyone with information about possible methamphetamine activity can contact the Indiana State Police Meth Task Force at (812) 332-4411.
