No. 8 Gonzaga, No. 13 Butler ready to square off

INDIANAPOLIS -

Gonzaga and Butler have spent the last decade setting new standards for America's non-power conference schools.

On Saturday, America's two biggest little schools will square off for the first time at historic Hinkle Fieldhouse. The game comes with all the trimmings: A prime-time tip, national television and even ESPN's College GameDay crew.

What fans will see are two of the country's hottest teams.

The eighth-ranked Zags (17-1) have won eight straight and have seven wins over BCS-conference teams. The 13th-ranked Bulldogs (15-2) have won 12 in a row but will be without leading scorer Rotnei Clarke for the second straight game. Clarke has a severely sprained neck.

With six non-BCS conference teams ranked this week, Saturday's game could be a preview of what's to come in March.
