CHALMERS -
A Chalmers man died in a crash with a semi-trailer in White County Monday.
Police say 70-year-old David Vyse was driving north on SR 43 south of Chalmers when he crossed into the southbound lane for an unknown reason. Vyse's car then sideswiped the semi, driven by 26-year-old Christopher Hubers of DeMotte.
Vyse suffered fatal injuries in the crash. Hubers refused medical treatment at the scene.
The accident closed SR 43 for three hours while police investigated. It is not known if drugs, alcohol and/or speed were a factor in the crash. Toxicology results are pending.
