Man leads police on chase, ends without pants

Posted: Updated:

An early morning police chase reached an end in an usual way.

Police tried to pull the man over near 10th and Mitthoeffer on the east side at about 2:45 Monday morning.  The man then led officers on a 30 minute chase.

Police tried the PIT Maneuver and stop sticks to get the man to stop.

The chase finally ended in a subdivision near Franklin Road.  That's when police say the driver jumped out of the car, leaving his passenger behind, ran inside his home, got undressed, and tried to convince officers he had been in bed the whole time.

Officers think he may have been drinking.
